GOOD NEWS!!!
The Buccaneer Days organizers have advised us that -- because our Church has been participating in Buccaneer Days festivities for 30-40 years without problems and that our goods are "low risk" -- they will permit us to sell our home baked goods at this year's event at the Archie Browing Centre on Saturday, May 9th.
If you are interested and are able to make and donate baked goods, we would really appreciate your contribution of cakes, pies, buns, tarts, loaves, muffins or cookies.
However, it is important that we comply with the Island Health regulations regarding preparation and packaging of our baking as we have done in the past.
"Low risk" foods are cakes, cookies, squares, muffins, cupcakes, fruit pies (baked), tarts, breads, chocolate, fudge, brownies.
"High risk" foods NOT PERMITTED are:
Foods must be packaged after they have been prepared to protect them from contamination during storage, transportation and sale.
Label your goods with the product name and list any ingredient ~such as nuts~ that would be useful information to people with allergies.
Deliver your baked goods to our Memorial Hall on May 8th between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Thank you so much for your participation. Please call or email Jan (People's Warden) if you have any questions.
We also need volunteers to take goods and equipment to Archie Browning on Friday, May 8th at 4pm. If you can help, please tell Jan or Sharon.
This is a great fundraiser for our Church so let's make it the best ever!
