Wonderful Wednesdays

Hosted by St. George's Anglican Church.

An online educational forum open to all. Want to check out other speakers in this series? Click here.

Speaker: Bishop Anna Greenwood-Lee

Topic: The Great Spiritual Migration

Inspired by the book The Great Spiritual Migration: How the World’s Largest Religion is Seeking a Better Way to be Christian by Brian McLaren, Bishop Anna will discuss how Anglicans are spiritually identifying less with organized religion and more with organizing religion as spiritual activists; how by mindfully looking inward, we are discovering a call to reach outward.

Bishop Anna Greenwood-Lee is the 14th bishop of the Diocese of British Columbia, and the first woman to be elected bishop in the diocese. Her 20-year career as an Anglican priest has been characterized by her dedication to social justice and congregational development. She is a co-founder of The Wisdom Centre, a progressive community that focuses on reclaiming ancient Christian traditions in new and innovative ways.
