What a lovely way to celebrate Canada Day,  Thank you for attending.

SPSP loves a good garden party.  The late afternoon was filled with conversations, sunshine and good will.

There was excellent food that I had never experienced  - like a pink (beet) salad(?) and who knew ketchup almonds would taste so good and be so addictive.  So many other favorites that were simply delicious.  The abundance of all the tasty food we shared made the day even more delightful and festive.

And I have to say thanks to the cooks on the BBQ’s – you made everything you cooked taste yummy!

SPSP’s  flexibility to come to Sidney shows a willingness to try new things that may seem a little above and beyond.  The parish has shifted in how we use our hall, and I am so appreciative of your willingness to stretch to new things.

My only disappointment – no pictures.  Which, in reality, simply shows how we are not too self-absorbed and we do not live our lives through a lens. Hallelujah!

This day of celebration is now part of the story of SPSP -  so for that and for all of you, I give thanks to God.

May the rest of the summer be such a blessing as our Canada Day party.
