Getting to know Bruce Kirkpatrick

  Born: Prince Albert Saskatchewan Education: studies in meteorology & classical music.Career: 7 years radio, 41 years television  (I was on the air at CHEK TV Victoria for over four decades). Community: On various boards including Victoria Symphony, Mustard Seed Food Bank, Luther Court Extended Care, Probus and St. Columba where I was people’s warden.Family: Married with three (grown) children.Church: Right now I have landed at St Peter St Paul after St Columba was closed. (I prefer the quiet Wednesday morning service where a small group of us get to contemplate Christ and discuss scripture). Residence: Highlands of Greater Victoria.Achievements: I have hosted the Salvation Army Christmas Concerts at the Royal Theatre with the Naden Band of CFB Esquimalt, met Royalty (not the queen), interviewed humankind of every stripe, volunteered with Langford Fastball and to me the most gratifying, reading lessons at Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria (Lessons & Carols at Christmas).Hobbies: skiing, reading, travelling, walking, Antarctic history.   I consider myself well blessed.
